Étant donné que l’article est rédigé par un pro, je comprends qu’on puisse avoir des doutes sur l’objectivité du rédacteur…
Alors plutôt que de donner un avis tranché je vous invite à réfléchir à certains points.
Les outils disponibles :
Tout de suite on pense à Wix. Si Wix a beaucoup été critiqué par les pros du domaine il évolue de manière constante. Aujourd’hui Wix incorpore des outils de SEO (référencement naturel) il permet de créer des sites responsives (qui s’adaptent à la taille de l’écran du visiteur) et il va même y avoir des outils permettant à votre site de respecter les règles du RGPD (règlement européen sur la gestion des données personnelles .
Wix n’est pas la seule solution, WordPress.com permet également de créer son site gratuitement.
Les versions gratuites de ces solutions ne vous autorisent pas le choix d’ un nom de domaine qui fasse « pro » (monsite.fr, monsite.com). Vous aurez dans le nom de domaine une chaîne de caractères obligée (monsite.wix.com, monsite.woordpress.com). Vous ne pourrez pas avoir accès non plus aux fichiers qui composent votre site. Cela limite la personnalisation du site, qui quelques fois impose l’édition et la modification des fichiers. Vous ne pourrez pas non plus transférer votre site chez un autre hébergeur.
Les versions payantes de Wix vous permettront d’avoir un nom de domaine personnalisé, mais vous ne pourrez pas récupérer votre site pour l’héberger ailleurs. Un site Wix ne peut être hébergé que chez Wix.
Un pro s’occupera pour vous de réserver le nom de domaine qui vous convient (si il est disponible).Il vous conseillera sur la pertinence , la longueur de ce nom et l’extension la plus appropriée ( .com, .fr, etc…). Il s’occupera également de l’ hébergement, de la maintenance et de la sauvegarde du site qui pourra à tout moment être récupéré et hébergé ailleurs si le besoin s’en fait sentir.
Alors oui Wix vous offre des outils qui vous permettront de faire un joli site , que vous pourrez référencer et qui respectera la nouvelle loi européenne sur l’ utilisation des données personnelles.
Mais vous devez vous poser 2 questions :
Première question : Est-ce que je maîtrise ces outils ?
Pour le SEO par exemple, vais-je choisir les bons mots-clés ? La présentation de mes pages sera-t-elle la bonne pour qu’elles soient bien vues par Google ? Ai-je fait assez ( ou trop…) de liens internes et externes dans mes pages ? En gros ai-je respecté les règles de l’art comme l’aurait fait un pro ?
Deuxième question, peut-être la plus importante : Ai-je le temps de faire un site correct ?
Bien souvent un artisan, un petit entrepreneur ou un auto entrepreneur est tellement surbooké qu’il n’aura pas le temps de faire sérieusement un site Internet quelques soient ces compétences en la matières.
En conclusion:
Comme je l’ai dit plus haut je ne donnerai pas de réponse tranchée à la question du titre de l’article. Si la personne n’a pas le choix, si elle n’a pas le budget pour payer un pro, elle optera pour une solution genre Wix. Pour les autres n’oubliez pas que la bonne question à se poser ce n’est pas : « Combien va me coûter mon site ? » Mais c’est : « Combien va me rapporter mon site ? ».
